British Columbia's employers can look under the strategic occupations component to higher qualified foreign labourers.
Under this component, these are the following categories:

• Designated healthcare professionals such as registered nurses, physicians and midwives can apply under this category.
• Under the entry level pilot project category, those in hospitality, transport and tourism industries can apply.
• For the Skilled Workers category, professionals, managers, technicians and skilled tradespersons can apply.

To apply under this component, individuals must have accepted a legit job offer in a skilled occupation from an employer from this province.
